Celebrate the kickoff of our 26th season at the lovely Brushwood Estate on Lake Tahoe's west shore. This year's Asian theme will be complimented by a sit down dinner of Asian-influenced delicacies prepared by Mark Estee of Moody's Bistro and Lounge, supporter of the Gala with fabulous dining for the last several years.

Jim Porter and Jim Simon, dynamic local attorneys, will host the live auction of fun and exciting offerings, raising money to support our festival and its educational outreach programs. During cocktails by the lake, other intriguing donations will be available through a silent auction. Watch for further details about confirmed items.

Following dinner, there will be a very lively, colorful performance geared to the theme of this prestigious event and start of Lake Tahoe's social season. Tickets are reserved for donors of $1500 and up and their guests.

Featured at the San Jose Jazz Festival and the San Francisco Jazz Festival's Stanford Summer Jazz Series, Chops has been a fixture on the Bay Area music scene for more than 15 years. Combining saxophone, trumpet and trombone sounds with a solid rhythm section, the band performs songs by music legends Frank Sinatra and Ella Fitzgerald along with popular favorites from the likes of Harry Connick Jr. and Natalie Cole.
